OUR CAMPUSES
TWO CAMPUSES, ONE COMMUNITY
Since 1996, IMS has grown from a small, in-house French immersion program to a robust, multi-language Montessori program serving over 165 students. To best meet the needs of our students and allow us the space to flourish, IMS now offers two campuses to serve our wide age ranges. The Academy Campus in Durham will continue to house our toddler and primary programs, and we are excited to debut our Barbee Chapel Campus for our elementary programs. Regardless of location, children and families on both campuses continue to come together as a single IMS community.

The Academy Campus in Durham serves our Toddler and Early Childhood Programs with one toddler class, two Spanish early childhood classes, one French early childhood class, and one Chinese early childhood class. The Academy Campus is located in central Durham with close proximity to Duke University.
BARBEE CHAPEL CAMPUS

The Barbee Chapel campus in Chapel Hill serves our Lower and Upper Elementary Programs. This new campus on 37 acres of land allows IMS to better serve older children and expand our programming. The Barbee Chapel campus is located in east Chapel Hill with close proximity to UNC, the South Point area, and I-40.
